Short walks from Studio Hélène |
|
Cozy, Central “Studio Hélène” where Paris began. It’s a short walk to the 2,000 year old, Roman-built Cluny Baths; home of the Medieval Museum. Or visit the Roman-era Lutece Arena. As close? The Pantheon, Jardin (Garden) du Luxembourg, Jardin des Plantes & Zoo, the Sorbonne, the Louvre, Picasso Museum, Center G. Pompidou. A good stroll: Museum d’Orsay, the Bastille. Just 100 steps to the Seine, and 200 more to the front of Notre Dame & Point Zero. Near Rue Mouffetard where Orwell, Balzac, Hemingway and James Joyce toiled on their masterpieces. Studio Hélène shares a block (but not the 320 Euro per night rate) with the 4-star Hotel Colbert. Your morning stroll? Try the 2 islands where France was born: Ile de la Cite and Ile St Louis and/or the lovely Left Bank of the Seine. Shopping? Blvd. Saint Germain, Saint Germain des Pres, Rue de Rivoli or Rue Saint Honoré. Restaurants and Galleries? Too many to list. 1552 Map (below-left) shows approx. location of Studio Hélène! |
